Everything we do to the planet, we do to ourselves.
We work alongside communities to build self-sustaining systems for clean water, clean energy, and nourishing food, because the health of a people rises and falls with the health of their place.
To restore the health of the planet and humanity by helping communities build self-sustaining systems for clean energy, clean water, nourishing food, and lasting well-being.
Who we areOur environment shapes our health.
The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the soil that grows our food are not background conditions. They are where health begins. Researchers call this planetary health. Many communities have known it for generations.
deaths worldwide are linked to environmental risks we can change, from polluted air to unsafe water.
people still lack safely managed drinking water.
non-pandemic deaths worldwide come from chronic disease: 43 million lives in 2021.

See the challengeOne system. Every part working together.
Too much development arrives in fragments: a well here, a solar array there, a clinic that can’t keep its lights on. The Sovereign Loop connects the essentials into one system, designed so that each part strengthens the next.
Clean power runs water systems and greenhouses. What remains after harvest returns to the loop as fertilizer and renewable fuel. Training turns new infrastructure into local careers. And every Loop is shaped around its own land, climate, and people.
We call it sovereign because a community’s water, power, and food should not hinge on a distant grid or a fragile supply chain.
Built from established technologies, integrated in a new way.
Where charitable support goes to work.
The Foundation leads the public-benefit side of every Loop: the planning, skills, care, and access that markets rarely fund on their own.
Every Loop begins with the people who will live with it.
Skills for the careers a healthier economy creates.
Prevention and nourishment, close to home.
Essentials first, for those who need them most.
What works, measured and published openly.
Our initiatives are carried out in partnership with the Stichting Chardet Foundation, a humanitarian foundation based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Community-led. Clearly funded. Openly measured.
Communities lead.
Every Loop starts with listening. Local leaders set the priorities, and we design around them, not the other way around.
Clear roles, in the open.
Infrastructure is built mainly with private and public capital. The Foundation supports the public-benefit work, and may support a project in more than one way. As our structure takes shape, we intend to be clear about how funds are used, and open about any connection between our leadership and our partners.
We show our work.
We measure what changes for people and places, and we publish it, including what doesn’t go to plan.
The storm passes. The town keeps going.
The regional grid has failed for the third time this year. Here, the clinic’s lights stay on. The school has become a shelter, warm and dry, with clean water drawn from the air. Out back, the greenhouses keep producing through the rain. And the technicians keeping it all running trained here, and chose to stay.

Healthy environments. Healthy people.
Restoring the planet is one side of the loop. Restoring health in people is the other. Through our Community Health & Nutrition initiative, we work with licensed providers, including our sister company PurHealth, to bring prevention and nourishment closer to home.
Find your place in the loop.
No single organization can do this alone. Whether you lead a community, a ministry, a fund, a laboratory, or a classroom, there is work here with your name on it.
