Burnet County, Texas: a partnership in the making.
In the Texas Hill Country, near Marble Falls, public partners, private partners, and Foundation initiatives are coming together around one regional plan.
Why here.
Burnet County is a rural community in one of the fastest-changing parts of Texas. Growth brings opportunity and pressure: on water, on power, on health services, and on the young people deciding whether their future is here.

Three lanes, in Burnet County.
Private partners, working side by side.
PurEarth
PurEarth is developing a greenhouse-based agricultural facility in the Marble Falls area, with on-site systems designed to use water and energy efficiently.
PurHealth
PurHealth, a private health services company, is exploring opportunities to acquire, or partner with, medical facilities in the area to strengthen local care.
The public-benefit side of the plan.
Foundation initiatives in this region are carried out in partnership with the Stichting Chardet Foundation.
One regional Loop.
PurEarth’s facility is designed around efficient water and energy use. The Foundation’s training helps residents build careers across the region, and its health and research work helps the community measure what changes. PurHealth’s work, as it develops, adds the care side of the loop. Each partner plays its own part. Together, they’re designed to form one regional Loop.
Three phases. No dates until confirmed.

Foundation commitments in this region: none to date.
PurEarth and PurHealth are independent companies, and the Foundation doesn’t own or operate them. If the Foundation supports a project in a region, whether through a grant, a loan, or another commitment, we intend to say so on that region’s page. Nothing on this page is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, and nothing on it is medical advice.
